I am trying these days to get back into my crafting and craft blogging, so I thought it would be a good challenge for me to participate now and then in the WIP (Work-in-Progess) Wednesdays and FO (Finished Object) Fridays at Tami's Amis and Other Creations.

Buttons seem to be a hot trend these days.   When I recently came across bags of interesting and random buttons at a good price, I couldn't resist playing with some Christmas ornaments centered around buttons.
 

Cats Eye and Pearls Beaded Ornament Hooks

Glowy Cats Eye style beads look rich and elegant with graduated pearls

It's no wonder I have so many trees at Christmas time when I keep falling in love with every new beaded ornament hanger.  I found these beads the other day and they are stunning, with a cats eye effect that catches your eye and seems to shout out "hey look at me, aren't I gorgeous?"  I love them to bits!

Hearts and 'Diamonds' Christmas Ornaments

Valentines Day meets Christmas with this latest ornament.  Some years ago I picked up these painted metal filigree-like hearts.  They were in the Valentines Day crafting items, but I thought they would perhaps make nice Christmas ornaments.

My First Ornament - Santa '68

I am surprised that I haven't shared this treasure of an ornament before now. He is well on his way to antique status as possibly the first Christmas Tree ornament I ever made. Certainly the first craft with any kind of longevity as he will be this year ... 45 years old!

Packaging Earrings for Display

My friend and I recently rented a craft table at a local event. We're both new to this, and for me it was a great excercise in digging out all the various things I've made which have ended up in boxes.

Things were all tucked away, but so tucked away that I'd lost track of what I actually had made.  There were boxes of boxes of boxes of various and miscellaneous. Hmmm..  There still are some, if I'm being honest, but I am happy to say there are less of them.

Holly and Berries Beaded Christmas Ornaments

It's July ... therefore it's Christmas in July ... so seems like a good opportunity to try to re-embrace the craft blogging.  I've been recently re-energized on the crafting front and am busy beginning focus preparations for my primary passion in crafting - Christmas.

Last night I came up with a new beaded holiday ornament, and I thought I'd have a practice at documenting the steps so I could share.   Let me introduce to you - the beaded holly and berries Christmas Tree dangle.
