WIP Wednesday - Burgundy Christmas Tree Skirt

Woohoo, I've made it ... for my first "Work in Progress Wednesday" posting.  It's never a problem to find a project that is "in progress" as there are altogether too many of those, but it has proven quite the challenge to remember that it is Wednesday - and then get organized enough to photograph and post about something.

This is another one of my Christmas Tree skirts.  I loaded up on wool in some boxing day sales so now I have several colour combinations in mind to play with. You can see some of the others I've already made here.  This is a more traditional scheme with burgundy, cream and gold.  I do like working around and around in this pattern as each new layer of colour seems to transform the piece.

In laying it out to photograph it appears to be nearly done.  A couple more rows of the burgundy shades and then it should be ready to finish up.

Take a look at some of the other fabulous things crafters are up to this week at Tami's Amis Work in Progress Wednesday.  It's truly inspirational.

    1. The blue is pretty isn't it. It goes well in our 'winter wonderland' living room and the cats certainly appreciate the extra "fuzziness". Welcome!

    1. Thank you. That's not a Christmas project, it's a "get the wool used up" project. YOU know ;)
